Woods Celtic JewelleryWoods Celtic Jewellery Contact: Karen Woods
Hi, my name is Karen Woods and I set up Woods Celtic Jewellery.
When I was 14, I used to make hair scrunchies and sell them door-to-door around my estate. I then ventured into town and sold them to some shops. One of those shops, Celtic Spirit, was in the St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre. The owner kindly gave me a job at the weekends, and I worked there throughout my school and college days.
By the time I left college, the owner had set up a wholesale celtic jewellery company called Amethyst. I worked there for the last 25 years but sadly, due to Covid, the company had to close. In March 2021, I set up my own online business selling celtic jewellery.
I have always had a passion for celtic designs and love designing new collections. Over the years, I have travelled to dozens of trade shows around the world, and I can’t wait to exhibit the new collections that I’m currently working on!
Two initiatives that are close to my heart are the environment and charity. I am part of the Affiliate Programme with the Tree Council of Ireland and sponsor the planting of new trees every year. I also support Aoibheannn’s Pink Tie and donate €1 per order to them. They are an incredible charity, and I would urge you to read about the wonderful work they do.
In our spare time, my husband and I enjoy pottering around Ireland and attending music festivals in our old VW bus!
